My Life My Choice expert staff is available to provide consultation in all of our program areas.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

My Life My Choice is a thought leader and participates in public policy affecting victims' services and human trafficking. We also work to educate a broad community of supporters and harness our collective outrage to move the needle on this issue.

MENU OF TRAINING

My Life My Choice offers introductory and advanced workshops about the sex industry and its devastating impact. Trainings aim to increase victim identification and improve provider response to exploited youth. Audiences include, but are not limited to, law enforcement; child protective services workers, school personnel, and medical providers.


UPCOMING TRAININGS

A Collaborative Training with Boston GLASS: Preventing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of GLBTQ Youth: A Module for GTSAs

This new one module curriculum training aims to support the exploration of the intersection between exploitation, gender identity and sexual orientation. As providers, we know that LGBTQ youth are at exponentially higher risk for exploitation due to many variables including, but not limited to homelessness, lack of family support and provider expertise in understanding the experience of LGBTQ youth and in general access to supportive services.

A new training by My Life My Choice in collaboration with Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts: Engaging Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth in Conversations about Sexual Health

Commercially sexually exploited youth experience extreme trauma. This can impact their ability to build healthy relationships and exercise their bodily autonomy within intimate relationships. Further, victims of the commercial sexual exploitation of children often feel misunderstood in traditional sexual health education and outreach program settings.

Preventing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Adolescent Girls: A Training for Facilitators on Using the My Life My Choice Curriculum

The My Life My Choice Curriculum is a survivor-led, ten session girl-centered program created to develop and strengthen your efforts to halt the disturbing wave of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking in the United States.  Created in 2002, the My Life My Choice Curriculum is used in schools, group homes, juvenile justice facilities, and community-based agencies.  We have trained facilitators in more than 30 states and Canada.

June 11th 10am-4pm and June 12th 10am-5pm with Survivor Networking 9-10am on June 12th

The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Adolescent Girls: Understanding and Responding to Victims

Every day, young people are deceived, manipulated, coerced, and forced into the commercial sex industry. This multi-billion dollar industry targets the most vulnerable individuals in our communities. The Understanding and Responding to Victims Training gives service providers, law enforcement, and community members the tools needed to better serve this marginalized population.
